The worst part about living in Indianna
My fear of tornadoes started when I was probably about eight years old and I saw the movie Twister. For those of you who don't remember that movie, here's the trailer: Does that look freaky to you? It still makes my stomach curl. Ever since I have seen that movie, I have had a horrible phobia of tornadoes, which is pretty silly because I have never seen one, or lived in a place where they are common... until NOW! Just my luck, we move to tornado valley, right in the middle of the tornado season! I have never been so grateful for weather.com. My sister Kelley, her husband and mine think I'm so silly, but I'm SO paranoid. I don't have a shelter or a basement to hide in!We live on the 3rd floor of our building, the worst place to be! We've had two alerts since we've been here. Last night the Tornado watch turned into a tornado Warning, saying that "A tornado has been spotted in your city, get to shelter immediately! You can imagine how that made me feel! So we woke Jonah up and rushed over to Kelley and Vak's apartment, because we figure its the safest since its partially underground. We were over there for about an hour, Vak kept telling me that these kind of things don't happen unless you live on a farm.(okay vak) I kept checking out the window and the storm was pretty crazy! The clouds were really low and the scary part was it so dark that there was no way of seeing a tornado coming! So after an hour we decided to just go home, even though I was still worried. When I turned on the news after we got home, the warning was back to just a tornado watch, which made me feel,.. a little better. I couldn't sleep all night, the wind picked up and Zach and I both were worried it was a tornado. I've never seen lighting as strong or heard thunder as loudly as last night! I had the worst nightmare about a tornado too! The news says that tomorrow is supposed to be another really bad storm! I soooo wish I had a basement!

"Hey! Look what I can do!"
Jonah will be turning 8 months old this Friday! He has changed so much in the past month, it's been so fun!
He pulls himself up on EVERYTHING! I mean, everything as in the toilet, his pack n play, the couch, bath tub, the dresser.. you get it. I can't believe how much he loves to stand up! My bet is he will be walking by 10 months. Sometimes, I will lean down to set Jonah on the ground and he stiffs up his legs so I'm forced to let him stand. You would think his legs would be much skinnier with all the exercise he's been up to.

I'm so pretty!

I bought a Microfiber hair wrap at the local dollar store today. I'm very excited about it! According to the box, it absorbs wetness and dries hair faster than normal towels! Thats amazing! Not only is it good for that, the box ALSO tells me to use the hair wrap for these purposes as well:
* Conditioning hair
* Coloring hair (Will the hair dye stain the wrap?)
* Make Overs (Never thought of that!)
* Facial cleansing
* Shower
* Sauna
* Hot tub (I'm going to wear this the next time I go to our apartment's jacuzzi)
* Protection from Sun (I'm confused, Does this really protect you from the sun?WOW!)
The box tells me that the towel wrap is very attractive! I think I'll start wearing it as an accessory.. I wonder what else I could use it for. Any ideas? I love the dollar store!
