I knew it was too good to be true

I was browsing Craig's list and came upon an ad for a three bedroom basement apartment for 550 a month. There were no pictures attached but the person made it sound pretty good. So I e-mailed the guy and asked if I could see some pictures of the place. This was the reply:

"Sorry I don't have any pictures. It would be best to see the place because it is a basement and has some "character".
The kitchen is the "bachelor" type without a full sized stove/oven. Toaster oven, microwave and two burners is what it has.
Two adult limit. Third room is office/living room because there is no actual living room.
No bathtub, only shower.
No street noise, owner lives in house.
Deposit is $350 and owner has previously insisted on last month's rent too but in this rental market maybe he will change his mind on that. You would have to negotiate it."

Ummm... no thank you.

wait, did they say it was a "3 bedroom" or "3 ROOM" apartment???!!

The kitchen sounds lovely. I think they should be asking more like $350 to rent that dump

haha, oh man I don't miss apartment hunting in Provo/Orem, it's amazing the dumps that people consider to be "livable" apartments! If you're looking for a new place, ours will be available on April 28!

At first I thought it meant the owner would be living in the apartment WITH you. I figured it out. Just don't live in a basement apartment.
