Last Monday Bon Losee has a water park day at 7 peaks. If you went, you could get up to 9 hours of time in...(in order to graduate cosmetologists have to have 2000 hrs, estheticians have to have 1200) So basically, it was like getting a free 9 hour day in. To make it educational, they had us do a worksheet on sun damage while we were there... reminded me of when my young women's had a "water party" in order to get us to do service for hurricane Katrina. So after filling out eh worksheet on how damaging it is to be out in the sun between the hours of 10 A.M to 4 P.M. (we were there from 10:30 till 8:00)all the girls lathered on their baby oil and turned black. Zach and I on the other hand, were lathering on the 45 SPF sunscreen every 30 minutes. Sadly, I don't have one tan line, but that's okay! Even though we were nasty pasty white the whole time, at least we're not leather. It was fun for a while, the first few times in the wave pool and the lazy river. After a couple hours, I spent most of my time in the shade, sipping on Capri sun and chips. I wanted to leave so badly but it was worth it to stay and get my hours.
My husband was nice enough to be there the whole day even though I couldn't go on any rides.
We bought a huge sub from walmart and probably spent half our time eating it.
Here I am, bored out of my mind! So what do I do?eat!

That is weird that you get hours for that. And even stranger that the other esthetician students want to tan after everything you guys learn about skin care.
Oh that water party they did in Young Womens was so strange!
This is soo funny that you are at a water park bored out of your mind! but yay! 9 hours done!
ya, it was mostly the hair girls that were tanning, but I was suprised that even one of my instructors had tanning oil with her! It just goes to show, people care more about having that perfect tan than having perfect skin. I'm getting a spray tan tomorrow. The "healthy tan"
You should be proud of me. . . I've started using Jergen's Natural Glow and I don't go tanning any more. Yay!
