My sweet, thoughtful husband gave me my birthday present early! I got an awesome sewing machine and I can't get away from it! The only problem: I don't exactly know how to sew! So, I'm just fooling around trying to get good before I really invest money and real projects into it.My sister Kelley decided she wanted in on the fun too! So she bought some material and made Jonah the cutest little outfit! Of course kelley is a natural when it comes to stuff like this! Too bad the outfit ended up being a little too small for Jonah because it is sooo darn cute!
Here is the fancy bottoms and vest she made with a beanie I made.
I also made a shirt. This one made out of scraps I had lying around the house. So, as you can see, it's not something I will probably be wearing out of the house. Especially compared to the outfit Kelley made for Jonah. But hey! I'm still excited that I sewed an actual piece of clothing!
More and More Improved to come!

you guys are so crafty! sewing is mine and tammis new hobby too :) you should have come to girls night, i want to see jonah!
That outfit is so cute! As Maryann said, sewing is our new found love, but haven't quite mastered the art yet....we missed you last night, and we should all get together for a little sewing party. By the way, love the top that you did! Very cute!
That's exciting, just be careful that you don't start making ALL your own clothes. That could look weird.
i think the top looks cute, i'm impressed! And Kelley Jonah's outfit is adorable too :) We missed you last night Caitlin!
I just left a comment on Kelley's about this too. Anyway, Jonah needs to be entered in one of those "cutest baby" contests! I'm serious! Kelley did a great job on that little outfit. We have one that looks a lot like that one that someone passed down to us...it makes those baby boys look like cute old men! LOVE IT! You said you can't sew, but that shirt looks pretty good to me! You look so good too! No suprise there! Can't wait to see what you guys make!
Way cute! Be sure to save for your next baby boy!
That is pretty good. I don't know if I will ever try clothes I just stick to home decor. I don't think that anything I can make would EVER be wearable!
