amazing things are happining

I just have to write down some awesome changes going on in our home.

Jonah has had an attachment to his bottle for quite a while. Every time I tried to make a total switch to cups, I gave up. It was hard enough dealing with a child who's been sick most of his life, and the thought of taking away his one comfort object was out of the question.
He also is attached to sleeping in our bed, because of his health history and all. Not only is this the most uncomfortable situation with Jonah kicking me in the face all night, but there is no way he can be sleeping in our bed when I have the new baby. NO WAY.
So we made a goal. After Jonah had surgery and was sleeping and feeling better, I was going to start the transition. . and trust me, I was dreading this.
Then, we found out we were moving. Well now I really couldn't do all that in the middle of taking him to a whole new state and a new home! So we made a new goal. I was going to slowly wean him off the bottle about a month after we move because by then he would be used to the new place and things would be more settle. We also gave Jonah our bed when we moved and bought a new one for ourselves. That way he can feel like he is still sharing our bed with us.. kind of.
Well amazing things have been happening in the short week we have been here. By the second day Jonah had stopped asking for his bottle and he was sleeping in his OWN bed through the WHOLE night. I didn't even have to go through the whole drama of it all! I am in shock and I have never slept better!! It's like he suddenly wanted to be a big boy. I am so proud of my little guy and it has really made this whole move so much easier than I expected! WOo hoO!
Lets just hope this lasts.
Oh and the best part is: Since Jonah was sleeping with us he was on the worst sleeping schedule. He would go to bed late with us and wake up late. I hated it.I had no time to myself at all. He is now going to bed between 8:30 and 9:30 and waking up at seven every morning. One night he even slept from seven to seven. Such an improvement!!!
