nursery inspiration

No, I'm not pregnant..but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy looking at adorable nurseries right?! Hopefully one day I will own a home, and finally have the ability to paint and decorate an adorable baby's room. Poor Jonah got gypped! So, for all you ladies who ARE expecting: Here is some inspiration.
I love this one because it would be great for sharing a bedroom.
The hot pink and black are so bold. I like it!
This room could totally be for a boy or a girl. I think.
Circus anyone?
Or how about the Safari!
I love the wall pattern. This would be so easy to do with just paint and tape!
The next two are very shabby chic.

I like the idea of the alphabet going across the wall. I feel like baby rooms have come a long way. They look so sophisticated now!
This is such an adorable princess room. Look at the curtains.
Now days, it's not a nursery without a chandelier I guess!

The mad scientist

As Kelley posted on her blog, Jonah had his sleep study last night. Only one of us could stay with Jonah, and since I really didn't want to sleep alone in a doctors office with a creepy technician, my amazing (amazing like how Jason the bachelor means it) husband took off work so he could go with Jonah.
Why did Jonah have a sleep study? Because after his procedure, they want to determine whether or not Jonah should have surgery to remove his adenoids. We also need to find out if that's the reason why the little guy wakes up coughing, wheezing, and screaming all night. I didn't realize how many wires they were going to hook him up to! Jonah came home this morning with a hair of goop from all the stuff they stuck on his head! When I asked Zach how it went, he said,
"I had to use the bathroom all night, but every time I got up, Jonah would start screaming and kicking all his monitors off. So I held it until this morning." he also had to cut Jonah's pants off to change his wet diaper. I guess there were a lot of monitors wrapped around his legs. Thanks babe!!! I know that wasn't fun. So, ... I hope my doctor calls me with SOME information. Hopefully a cure for my little boy.

He took this one himself

p.s. Jonah is eating cereal, and I can't tell if he's trying to put the cereal in his ears or put the cereal ON his ears like earings.

Today, I am Sick

I was sick for Valentines day too. We had plans of going out for dessert, and renting a movie. Instead, we got a quick dinner a costa vida, (and you know I mean quick, because Jonah was with us.) Came home, and went straight to sleep.

As for today, I've been lying on the couch watching church videos while Jonah runs wild. Don't you hate being sick with kids?
Poor little guy. He just sits in front of me like this. He's probably saying, "MOM! What's wrong with you!? GET UP!" You can tell I'm a loser today because I even took the time to add arrows and words to a picture. Hope everyone had a fabulous V Day! I'm soooo ready for no more snow.

Jonah gave everyone back massages.

We ate at Tucanos.
Jonah grew a mustache.
We visited with cousins, and had a blast!
More to come!

Jonah's Big Day

We loved Primary Childrens! They were awesome, and Jonah certainly didn't mind waiting two hours for his procedure. ( Keep in mind he had been fasting for over 15 hours).
There were so many toys to play with, Jonah couldn't control his excitement! But, being the responsible child, he vacuumed the waiting room of course.
He learned to drive too.
It was really hard to let them take my baby away, Luckily Oprah was on to keep my mind occupied. Jonah was fine, and I don't think he really knows it even happened.
We're happy it's over with, and I'm so grateful for my mother in law for coming up to help. Jonah probably will have to have surgery sometime in the future, and I feel a little more prepared after this experience.

Dear Laundry,

I hate you.

Everytime I have a "laundry day" I think,
"Is there really someone out there who adores doing their laundry, and if so, do they always have empty laundry baskets just lying around the house?"

I can't imagine not having clothes either on my bed, on my floor, or in a basket. I don't know how I used to get anything done when I was in school! I can hardly keep up with my house! I mean, a lot of that comes with having a crazy little boy destroying everything all day long, but COME ON!!! I loathe laundry.
This summer, Kelley and I traded house chores, and I would clean her bathroom, while she would gleefully fold my clothes. Kelley... Do we still have a deal?

I've been folding and hanging up clothes all morning! As soon as I have a pile of folded laundry Jonah walks through it or purposely tackles it. Now, every shelf, piano, table in the house is being covered with folded clothes.

Wow! I feel so accomplished! An empty basket. Oh wait! Whats that pile over there?
I am seriously considering giving away half my wardrobe just to avoid doing laundry.

WILL IT EVER END!!!?
