Micah's back

On Sunday, I made Zach pull over after church into this abandoned lot. I've been eyeing this spot every Sunday, dying to take pictures there (because clearly a pile of rubble means AWESOME photos). Well, it really was an awesome spot, you don't see trees like that in Arizona very often, but the kids were REALLY tired. 12 o clock church ya know. So it was kind of a bust. But these pictures just make me laugh, because they would not look at the camera. At all. I think they were all confused as to why mommy was making us walk around in the middle of nowhere when we are starving and just want to go home. It ended with me barefoot in a ditch trying to get in a field, and stepping on a good pile of thorns, ending with Zach carrying me back to the car. So enjoy Emma's side and Micah's back! Jonah is no where to be seen. He didn't like the idea of the camera in his face, while he hunted for acorns:)

sunday

Just a quick post on this little beauty. She melts our hearts. She really is the sweetest little girl. Today at church she didn't want daddy to leave her or let go of her after sacrament. She asked Zach to take her to primary and sit next to her in sharing time. She wasn't grumpy just being her sweet quiet little self and wanted her daddy to be close by. So happy we have Emma. I love having a little girl who gets so excited to paint her nails and wants to watch me put my make up on every morning. (or the mornings I put makeup on). I love that she wants to paint at the counter as soon as she climbs out of her bed, and that she wants to watch youtube vidoes of toddler ballet recitals and dance along with them in her leotard. I love that she is so mellow  most of the time, and wants to snuggle me 75% of the day. I love how she dresses herself every morning and wants to wear her lady bug Halloween costume every time she sees it. I love how excited she gets about new shoes and new clothes. I especially love how every time she sees a set of scriptures in the house she takes them and pretends to read out of them. Anyway, just a quick little journal entry I guess. Saw this picture I took of her at the park last week and it makes me smile to see Emma becoming such a big girl and start to come out of her shy shell a little.

20 months

Can this crazy muddy boy of mine really be 20 months old!!!!?
4 more months till he's a TWO year old!!!!!?
Gosh. Time sure flies when your locking doors, making baby gates unbreakable, making tables un-climbable, washing pizza, lotion, oatmeal, and ketchup out of his hair, changing diapers while I pin him down with my legs and lots and lots of kisses and snuggles.

It's crazy how much he looks like his daddy. We were watching home videos of Zach when he was two the other day and Micah looks and acts just like him!

He is definitely still my baby. Even if he's almost two. I think it's safe to call them a baby until their potty trained, and well. that should be a while I think.
He truly is the happiest and most expressive little boy, who keeps us laughing all day.

Lately Micah really likes playing with the geo trax. It's funny to see him go through the same toy phases Jonah has gone through. We get to live it all over again! He tries SO HARD to talk to us. I'm shocjed at how much he can already say, just because Jonah and Emma both could not talk till they were like 2 1/2. Micah says Cracker, car, train, bike, bottle, blues clues, night night, mormor, dada, papa, bath, poo poo, again, hi, bye, cookie, milk, table, shoes, dog, kitty cat, uh oh, more, done, apple, banana, yee haw! and probably more I'm forgetting.

He loves: to dance, run, tries to jump, climb on everything, bath time, the park, riding tricycles at Mormor and Papas house, eating a cookie from the bakery, building train tracks, watching blues clues and mickey mouse clubhouse and wearing everyone's shoes. He does not like: nursery, the car for the most part, sitting in a shopping cart, eating without a spoon or fork, drinking out of a sippy cup (which he is going to have to do very soon here) and sleeping in past six. So there it is! Micah at 20 months.
We love you Micah man!

family

Yes, we went to the train park again! This time though, we took Uncle Adam and Wowo! Adam was so excited to go, unfortunately the kids were all sick practically the whole time they were visiting so we didn't go to the train park until the last day, right before they flew out.

There was a long wait for the train ride, thus ending with a lot of line pictures.

Micah with a messy face.

Adam wanted to sit in the very front next to Jonah. About to take off!!

Waving as we chug on by

Emma was much more excited this time around. The last time we came, she held on to me the entire train ride.

Happy!

I'm bummed that this was the only day I took pictures while Kathy and Adam were visiting, but we really had such a great time with them! We don't get to see Zach's family enough now that they moved away!

They rode the carousel twice!

Thank you for visiting Adam and Wowo! We miss you both already!! Hope to see you all this summer!!!

make believe

Found Emma on her bed, wearing her leotard of course! All she wanted from Santa this year was a "bawerina and pink choos!" Wish I had recorded her reaction when she opened the gift Christmas morning. Emma shakes when she gets really excited and she was shaking and screaming "Its a bawerina!" in a really high pitched voice! She pretty much wears it every day. I probably should get a couple more just so I have a chance to wash them! She dances all around the house, and I absolutely love it!
My sister Kelley gave her this adorable jewelry box with jewelry in for Christmas and she loves opening it up and putting everything on.

I asked Jonah to help Emma clean her room, and when I came to check up on how it was going, I found these two playing house together! I quickly grabbed my camera because it was the sweetest thing, and who knows how often this will happen!

They strapped Emma's doll in the shopping cart and went all around the house buying random things.
Jonah was being bossy of course, trying to make every decision and do everything.

They put the baby down for a nap and covered her up with a pillow. Then Jonah went to get the baby's bottle out the fridge and Emma freaked out because she wanted to do it, so she quickly guarded the door. This picture is of Jonah saying (obviously in a very serious tone) "Emma. move away from the door!" I don't think these two even noticed me snapping these shots in the door way, I let them work it out  ..and they finally agreed to do it together. Ha ha!

There is nothing sweeter then seeing Emma take care of her baby.

Zach's parents gave Emma the kitchen for Christmas and mine gave her the cradle and shopping cart, and my sister Cristin & family gave her play food. How awesome it is that every gift went along with the other! Thank you to all our loving family! She is one happy, domesticated ballerina/momma!

the train park

On New Years day we visited the train park out in Scottsdale. What a fun day! All three were so excited about riding the train, Emma had a melt down though when we told her she needed to go potty before she could ride the train. She does not like public restrooms.

This is such a typical Emma face. She refused to go potty.. that is a story itself..for another time. :)

A nice man took our picture before we headed off for the grand adventure! I seriously worry that a child is going to fall off that train. We held onto our kids tight.

I took a video of Micah on the train I'll have to upload. He was freaking out! He was pointing and just talking non stop the whole time! He kept saying "whooo whoo!!" He almost couldn't handle so much excitement! Jonah just waved to everyone we passed by, and Emma sat quietly holding onto my arm, with a big smile on her face the whole time. The tunnel scared her quite a bit though!

Next, we rode the Merry go round! Micah was actually really scared and confused about it. This
picture pretty much sums up his expression the whole time.

Jonah is looking so old these days! Our big five year old, so independent.

Poor Emma, I suddenly realized she was crouched down, shaking, and almost falling off the horse. That merry go round was actually going pretty fast!

We went into the model train exhibit which was incredible! There were all these old guys running the trains, setting up more tracks, using big Costco containers of spices to make dirt and grass.

Once again, Micah was freaking out the whole time we walked through. He just kept screamimg, "Whoo Whoo!!" and pointing at every train he saw.

Had to post these pictures. They also had these amazing doll houses set up! With real windows, they had sooo much detail!

Some more from the park..

Happy 2013!!!!!!!!
