painting the patio

I got a call from my mom the other morning, asking if i wanted to bring the kids over for a while to swim and play. She could not have picked a better time! Being exhausted from lack of sleep the night before I rushed over there as fast as I could, put Micah down for a nap, and relaxed while Jonah and Emma painted the patio with water, rode around on the tricycles and watched Papa install some patio covers.

I know how distracting it can be to have a 4 and 2 year old running around the yard while your trying to work, and my dad is so  good and patient about it, he acts like nothings a big deal. 

My parents got three tricycles all different sizes and looks for their grandchildren to ride around on! 

No wonder they always ask to go over there, it's child paradise! You can kind of see in the background of Emma the playground they've got going on.

Aunt kaci

We visited my sister kaci the other day! She spoiled us with cheese burger sliders, painting and swimming! The kids had so much fun and it was so good to see her. Thanks again kaci! We love you!

Girl

Well, Emma's vocabulary has finally started to take off! It's nice to hear her explain why she's sad, or why she's so happy, or why she's mad at Jonah and Micah. She has a big personality, but is extremely shy when she meets someone new. Lately she loves playing hide and seek, snuggling her doll in her bed, building tracks on the train table, and getting into anything and everything that she shouldn't be! Emma loves music and singing songs from church! She loves to show off when she figures a new skill out ( like stacking blocks etc) and she always tells "look mommy! I did it!!!" as loud as she can! I think she would be potty trained by now if she wasn't so afraid of going number 2 in the toilet. She always runs in her bedroom and hides behind her dresser. When I come in she says very quietly " shh I'm hiding." when really she's just going poo.
And her hair. Her hair is so curly and cute! When it's wet it goes past her shoulders. There's a part of me that wants to cut it into a little bob but Zach insists we grow it out. By the time it "looks" long it will really be down to her waist! She is a sweet heart, she loves telling daddy that she has Owie. So he can kiss it all better.
She's learning how to pray and it's so sweet to listen to her. I live how Girly she is and how picky she is about her shoes and clothes. We love miss Emma!

preschool graduation

Jonah had his little preschool graduation last week. He was so excited about it! He called his grandparents and asked everyone to come! It was so cute to watch him throw his little paper hat up in the air like a real graduate.

Each kid got a book with pictures, and their teachers shared little questrions each student had answered:

summer

Well, for us, summer has definitely arrived! I have a nice sun burn to prove it :)  It's becoming difficult to jog to the park in the morning, as its already 90 out at 8 am. But we make the best of it, Lots of popsicles and swimming! Been busy, but I'm trying to blog again. I really am. 

Emma is still busy and starting to chatter more, Micah is walking now and has six teeth! And Jonah just finished up preschool and he's excited about swimming! Here's just a few pics I took last week. Emma thinks she's taking a picture of her brothers.  She keeps me laughing all day ;)

Micah is Mr Popular between these two, they both want to chase and wrestle him all day! He sure loves the attention! Jonah and Emma keep him busy!

                 We are excited for the water park to open, and I plan on spending most of our days there! Gotta go make dinner for the Elders.  I'll try and get caught up and post some more pictures this weekend!
