funny randomness from our house

Micah eating yogurt for the first time. mmm...

I round brushed Emma's hair dry last week. Zach said she looked like a mushroom. I don't think he realizes this was exactly what my hair cuts used to look like when I was little.  We just can't get used to her with straight hair.  I definitely won't be doing that again!

Anyway, it gave us a good laugh!

Then yesterday the kids were eating lollipops after lunch and Emma comes running up to me screaming "IT'S Stuck!!!"  It was REALLY Stuck. ( I ripped out a good chunk of hair) So of course, instead of helping her I grab the camera to document.

And as I snap some shots,
Jonah thought it would be hilarious to stick one on his head too. I can't win.

Maybe if I round brushed Emma's hair every day, this wouldn't happen. ya.  probably not.

And here's the kicker. After I took Jonah's pic, he took it off his head, ran it under some water and ate the rest.

the Farm

We went to a farm with Jonah's preschool class. Jonah had so much fun!

Emma was scared of all the animals. She would not let me take a picture of her, and the only thing she was finally comfortable with was the ice cream she got in the end!

She just hung out with Mormor the entire time.

She was even a little freaked out about picking carrots! Maybe she needs to get out more?

Jonah was in love with all the animals. He was mooing at the cows and holding the baby goats. He was grabbing the fresh eggs.

Eating icecream with friends.

picking some fresh carrots with he ate as soon as we got home!

Feeding the cattle

playing with dirt

So much fun for the kids!

she's my baby

I have been waiting for this to happen, it took her two weeks to figure it out.   Emma loves to be apart of anything Micah does. She sits in his car seat at church, she crawls on the floor with him, and she even stands next to him in his high chair while I feed him food and I swear she is saying "FREE FOOD!" as she opens her mouth like a dog and tries to get me to feed her too.

Look at Micah, that confused boy. He's thinking "Hey! I thought this bouncer was for me!?  Let me in!"

I could NOT get her out of here, She probably tried to bounced in here for forty minutes until she got out.  I  am seriously considering raising the straps up so she can use it too! Zachary joked about buying a cage with a bowl of water for Emma, but this might work too.

Here is Micah trying to scale the side of the bouncer.

This morning Emma went potty on the floor twice, and the second time she was jumping in the puddle.

Yes, she just want's to be a baby I guess!
I guess we will just keep you in diapers, with a onesie on and you can hang out in here all day!

Micah

Who wouldn't love to wake up to this face every morning? .. and six times a night.

Micah, the sweetest little boy.
almost 8 months

He is always so happy to see you. I love coming in to his room when he wakes up because this is how he looks every time. jumping up and down, just thrilled and almost surprised!

He started crawling a month ago, and just recently has started to pull himself up a little. He loves to follow his brother and sister around, eat stuff off the floor, and make funny noises.

I just discovered that he loves yogurt and rice puff cereal (the kind in a tube for babies).

 Such a happy baby!

go team!

Here are pics from Jonah's last game.

This is right before he made his first basket in the game, can you tell he's upset everyone is blocking him?

He sure loves basketball!

Sleepy Head

It's the beginning of the end.
Her naps are becoming fewer and fewer.
My days are becoming longer and longer.

Emma dear,
I know you're tired. You won't sleep in the crib anymore. I don't blame you though, after sleeping in a bed once, who would ever go back to a plastic mattress in a cage!?

The other day she refused to take her afternoon nap.
and no, she is not watching the tv.

totally zoned out.
Stop fighting it sweet heart. Just close your eyes!

Right before bath time I mixed shaving cream with some food coloring and let Jonah and Emma have some fun "painting" in the tub.

Ever wonder what Emma's bed head looks like?

I had no idea they would be so excited about it! It was so fun to watch them, and such an easy thing to do and clean up!

After a while they started rubbing it on themselves.

Jonah tried to keep the colors separate, and Emma just mixed everything up.

And when it was over I just turned on the water and washed everyone and everything cleaned!

The End
