After a year..

..of debating whether or not to go private, I decided it's about time. When I brought it up with Zach yesterday, He thought this blog had been private all along. (shows how much he reads it)
Hopefully even though I have been a slacker lately, you will all still check in on our little family once in a while. If you'd like to keep reading. Leave me your e-mail and I will add it! I will go private Friday, March 5th. So make sure you do it by then! Oh but wait! Since I figure it's not TOO personal, and for those of you who could really care less about the picture Jonah colored, or how chubby Emma is getting, I will keep my Sugar & spice blog Open to the whole wide blogger world. I'll just fill that with all my projects I'm always doing on the side. Thanks!

i have paint under my nails

For the past few days, i have been slaving away, refinishing furniture with my hubby. And since I am way too ADD, I added two (or three) more projects in the mix, and I'm not sure what I was thinking. It's hard to do this kind of stuff only during naps and after bed time. I just keep thinking how much faster this could all be done if I could paint more than five minutes at a time. Slowly but surely it will happen. I just hope I have something to show for it!

big girl

You probably can't tell from this picture, but her nose is a little swollen and green from her big brother trying to play with her that day. (she is going to grow up tough i guess.)

She started sucking her thumb.
Her eyes are SO blue, and i don't know what color her hair is! Is it red? Brown? Blonde?
Emma has the chubbiest cheeks, yet her body is still so petite! I spy some rolls growing on her arms though. She is always so happy, she loves watching Jonah play, and she blabbers SO much! She is already teething, and is about to roll over. We love this little girl to death!

my reality

with two,
it takes twice as long to wake up in the morning.
twice as long to eat breakfast (my breakfast)
twice as long to take a shower.
twice as long to put on makeup.
twice as long to clean the house.
twice as long to get the diaper bag ready.
twice as long to change diapers.
twice as long to leave the house.
twice as long to get out the car.
twice as long to play with kids.
twice as long to fold laundry.
twice as long to make dinner.
twice as long to post a blog (that's why lately all I have are pictures, or nothing.)
twice as long to go to sleep.
my day is over.
wake up. start over.

This is my reality. The hardest part of having two little ones is how exhausting and time consuming it is. I have a list of 25 projects I have been dying to do, but before I know it, the kids are in bed and I want to be in bed too. Tomorrow will be different. nope. still tired. TOMORROW I will sew that!! NOPE. too tired. TOMORROW I AM STAYING UP LATE AND DOING EVERY PROJECT I HAVE! I can't. I am SO tired and the baby is probably going to wake up in an hour.
How do some of you women do it!? it's unreal.

Zach had this weekend off so this was my chance!!! Guess what. nothing done. and i am so tired.
At least the dishes are done, and my kids are happy right? That's all that matters.

Monday. I will paint and sew Monday. I can do it.
