Goodbye George

Sadly, Our little curious George has moved on to bigger and better things. He will be spending the remainder of his life, growing up on a farm somewhere in Washington. Jonah is devasted, and I have been crying over George's picture all day.
Who am I kidding? My stress level went down as soon as that cat got in my friend's car! As cute and great as he was, with Zach's allergies and Jonah constantly torturing him, I had no attachment to that cat. Jonah will miss his little furry friend, as soon as he notices he's gone. (george has now been gone for over four hours)
Jonah loved pouring George's water all over the floor, and sitting in his cat bed.

So Farewell George, I tried to load your tummy up on cat food before you have to hunt for mice the rest of your life. I wish you the best!!!

a little piece of Jonah

After I filmed him I realized I didn't have him really do anything.. so maybe there will be a part two sometime, and much more entertaining! It's so funny how shy he gets, even just watching himself on camera.

no where to start

I know I need to post something on here, but the past two weeks have flown by with no pictures, and too many random stories to really talk about. So instead of really catching up on our family's life, I will just share a few random things we have been up to:

* We are HOOKED on Prison Break. I rented the first season at our library and every night we watch this instead of a movie. Only one season left.. what should we watch next?

* We keep debating whether or not to give George {the cat} away. He's no problem at all but my poor husband can't breathe in our own home! Another problem is Jonah will NOT leave this poor cat alone! Every day is becoming more and more challenging trying to keep Jonah from sitting on, or hanging George from his tail. On the other hand, he can be really sweet to the cat, and Zach is also attached to him. So until we come to a decision, George is still apart of the family.

* Jonah is finally starting to talk a little more. Nothing major but he can say new words like keys "eeys" , kiss "diss", and he barks like a dog, meows like a cat, and I think he says "bup" for cup. Amazing hu? So basically, he's closer to communicating to animals than he is to me.

* I'm finally feeling the urge to "nest". I have been slacking on putting the nursery together and all the other stuff for the baby, but now I suddenly feel like I'm running out of time. I don't want to wait till I get to the point of pregnancy where I really can't move or have any desire to do anything. I already have to have my husband buckle my shoes, and I really need him to re-paint my toes. I had Zach paint my toes when I was pregnant with Jonah and he actually did a great job! ..Probably because he was so worried about screwing up.

I'm back!

Wow! I haven't had the internet for almost two weeks! I won't go into too much detail, but all you need to know is our laptop's charger caught on FIRE! Everything is finally replaced, and fixed.. and I'm really back!
I felt so disconnected from everyone's life.
So stay tuned
More real posts to come.

Funny

As I am typing right now Zach is giving Jonah Horse back rides up and down the stairs. Before he takes off He tells Jonah to say "GO!" and in response Jonah says, "DOOR!" The whole way up and back.

{George}

We cracked. We should not have stepped into that pet store. Zach should have known better than to let me go near 20 cats locked up in cages. It was bound to happen. How could I just walk away from a poor, innocent little kitten who obviously adored us? Well, I couldn't. We both couldn't.. and Jonah really wanted to adopt him too.

So everyone, meet the newest member of the Nalder Family, George.
He is 3 months old, potty trained, neutered, and very very nice. He hasn't scratched the couch once! Zach named him after Curious George, for Jonah.
He must be a pretty special little guy, because Zach is VERY allergic to cats. So far, eye drops are doing the trick, but lets not hope it gets to the point where we have to give George a lion hair cut!
Jonah is IN LOVE with this Kitten. If you have two year old that wont kill it, I highly recommend a kitten. It's like the toy that never gets old. I have heard Jonah laugh more that I have in the past year! The only problem is he likes to pull on his tail. We are working on that. I'm surprised the kitten hasn't attacked him yet.
He definitely has it coming if he keeps that up.

our neighborhood park

This is the new park right down our street! It's pretty awesome too. This is a music area. These are all xylophones and drums the kids can play with.
Then there's the rock climbing area.
Next to that is a huge play area!
Behind that is the Water Area! This really is the coolest park I've been to. I'm so glad we have this!!

It took a little while to convince Jonah to get wet, but after that.. he was all for it!
So this is where we will be spending our summer.. everyday, all day long. That is until I get too hot.

25 weeks

Since I keep getting asked to post some belly shots, here I am 25 weeks along!

I feel like this pregnancy is flying by! I'm so unprepared! I see my new doctor this week, and I really hope I like her. I'm sure it will be fine though, I'm so excited to have our little girl and there's only about 15 weeks left!
